How to
Hints...
...are active by default. They indicate where to slide, tap and scroll. Hints can be deactivated at the top of the main screen. Hints can also be reactivated after switching Hints to On in Preferences.
The Fixed buttons panel...
...is at the bottom of the screen and active by default.
The select box in the upper row let's you choose between available translations and the German original.
The buttons in the lower row are from left to right: Prefs (Edit preferences)*, Save (Save respectively "mark" current translation as your favourite translation), Now (Show current verse of your favourite translation), Corr (Show corresponding verse to currently displayed verse)**. The select box at the far right let's you choose another verse for another week***.
* Note: Prefs can also be reached when swiping a verse upwards.
** Note: The corresponding verse, when chosen and displayed, is marked with the correspond icon on the right.
*** Note: The term Week X past Easter (or its corresponding translation represented by another language) in some cases refers rather to the VERSE number after Easter than the WEEK after Easter, in that some of the verses do not display an entire week alternatively do display a few days more than one week, or in that some of the verses of the year might be repeated. In all cases, this occurs in order to fit in the current dating method used.
The Slide-in buttons panel...
...is at the bottom of the screen and active after you activate it in Preferences. You then will be able to tap it in order to make it slide in. To make it slide out again, tap your finger just above the buttons panel, preferrably on the right side of the screen.
Note: The Slide-in buttons panel contains the same buttons and select boxes as described in Fixed buttons panel.
To browse the verses...
...swipe a verse right to see the previous verse, swipe a verse left to see the next verse.
To scroll up and down...
...scroll close to the right border of the screen.
To choose a translation...
...tap the Translation select box on the Panel and make your choice.
To choose a verse...
...tap the Week select box on the Panel and make your choice.
For larger text...
...rotate the screen.
To set your favourite default translation...
...first choose the translation of your choice on the buttons panel, then use the Save button. The current verse of your favourite translation will then be displayed by default at startup and whenever you tap the Now button.
Translation first...
...determines if the translation is shown first (above the German original) or the other way around. The default in Preferences is set to show the German original first.
Blank screen...
...if set to On in preferences, blanks the entire screen (except for the verses, of course).
Note: While Blank screen mode is on, either the Slide-in buttons panel or the Fixed buttons panel (depending on which one is active) will be invisible. Both panels will become visible when touching the imaginary area of the panels. This requires a little practice, especially when the hidden Fixed buttons panel is active, since touching the center of the panel area may activate one of the underlying buttons or select boxes. To hide either active buttons panel anew, tap your finger just above the panel, preferrably on the right side of the screen.
Enjoy!
